10U Coaching Update: Meet Tori and Tiffany!

By Shane Bartholomew, 05/29/17, 9:30AM EDT

We will miss you Coach Robi

The 10U Lady Panthers are off to an outstanding start as a newly formed team, the future is very exciting for these girls.  Former Head Coach Robi Zimmerman has moved on to the next chapter in her life taking her back home to our nation's capital to start her new career with Homeland Security.  We will miss Robi and thank you her for her leadership and incredible investment into the Lady Panther organization.

One of the best investments Robi left behind for us was another amazing coach and fellow ERAU softball player, Tori Reed.  Tori has been with the 10U team since the begining and has a strong understanding of the game and the development level of each of our players.  Tori was born in Orlando, Fla. on Jan. 25, 1996 and is the daughter of David and Jennifer Reed.  Tori was a 4 year letter winner for Timber Creek High School and continued her steller play into college. She played two years at ERAU where as a Freshman she appeared in 41 games, starting 35.  She made 31 starts at second base and four at DP, she hit .222 with 18 hits, 11 runs scored and eight RBIs.  She batted .286 in conference play, which was third-best on the team.  Tori is currently majoring in ERAU's Aerospace Engineering program. Being from Central Florida, she loves giving back to the community that helped her grow by working with our Lady Panthers. She is excited to see this program grow to watch our kids get better everyday.

MEET TIFFANY TAYNOR (New Assistant Coach)

Tiffany and Tori played together on their 18U Gold team where they became good friends.  Tiffany Taynor will be joining new Head Coach Tori Reed and Assistant Coach Hugo Camacho on the 10U Lady Panthers for this summer as an Assistant Coach.  Tiffany has been playing softball for over 14 years in Volusia County.  She's played on many of the local travel ball teams and finished playing in the area with the Lady Falcons Gold 18U team out of Daytona Beach.  Tiffany was also a four year varsity player for her High School,  New Smyna Beach High.   Tiffany secured a scholarship to play softabll at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and that is where she has been the past three years heading into her Senior year.   Tiffany is working on completing her degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  She plans to finish her college career there and return back home...with a desire to coach, lead and influence for the Lady Panthers organization.

We are extremely thankful and very fortunate to have this level of community committment and talent within our organization's leadership team!  #panthernation
